Hello and welcome to Area 51 Platoon Code of Conduct. This document explains what you should and shouldn’t do on our platforms.
Let’s start right away…



§1. Responsibility

Area 51 or its legal representatives cannot be held accountable for Users’ actions, comments made on the forums, on any part of its Website (area51platoon.co.uk and sub-domains) or any other media. The Administration reserves the right to remove any content published by the User without notice.

We advise you not to give anyone your info or account-related info. That includes ID info (VAT number, phone number, address, etc.) or info that could be used to compromise your account (email address, security questions’ answers, etc.).

REMEMBER: Area 51 and its legal representatives or its Administration will never request your password.



§2. Generic rules

¶1.

When you use our Platforms, you must show respect for other Users and their rights. The following rules must be respected by all players, and Area 51’s Staff will verify and enforce their application.


¶2.

Any alleged violation of the Code of Conduct will involve an investigation by the Staff. The Administration reserves the right or User’s account suspension or removal without notice.


¶2.1.

While using our Platforms, it’s strictly forbidden to undertake or encourage any illegal behaviour or communication related to that kind of behaviour.


¶2.2.

Users must follow any instruction given by the Staff. Failure to comply will be considered as a violation of the Code of Conduct and will be punished accordingly.


¶2.3.

The User must follow the rules described by the Code of Conduct while using our Platforms.



§3. Forbidden behaviours/actions

The following list gives examples of unacceptable behaviour, but it’s not considered exhaustive.

¶1.

Harassing or attacking Users with voice or text messages is strictly forbidden. Area 51 doesn’t tolerate this kind of behaviour and could be forced to suspend or delete the User’s Account.


¶2.

Publishing pornography or sexually explicit content through our Platforms, outside special adult-only areas, is strictly forbidden.


¶3.

Any dangerous, threatening, offensive, rude, racist or sexist content is strictly forbidden. It includes hate-speech as well.


¶4.

Impersonating any Staff member is strictly forbidden.


¶5.

Spam and advertising of non-partners’ platforms and services are strictly forbidden.


¶6.

Flooding and disturbing peace are strictly forbidden.


¶7.

Abuse towards a Staff member will not be tolerated and could lead to Account suspension or removal.


¶8.

Republishing any already-moderated content is strictly forbidden. If you have questions about content edit or removal, contact us.


¶9.

Bug abusing is strictly forbidden and could lead to Account reset or removal.


¶10.

Any attempt to modify or manipulate any of our platforms is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate Account removal and could also lead to criminal penalties.


¶11.

Third-party client usage aimed to hack is strictly forbidden.



§4. Usernames and Displaynames

¶1.

Using names in contrast with the Code of Conduct is strictly forbidden. That includes names expressing hate, racism, defamation, ethnic offence, sex and any other kind of offence.


¶2.

Using names that encourage harassment or insults towards other users is strictly forbidden.


¶3.

Using Staff names is strictly forbidden.


¶4.

Using Copyright-protected, Trademark or Registered/Patented names is strictly forbidden.


¶5.

Using popular culture inspired or media inspired names is strictly forbidden.


¶6.

Using religious or historical names is strictly forbidden.


¶7.

Using names tied or bound to terrorist organizations is strictly forbidden.


¶8.

Using diseases’, alcoholics’ or drugs’ names is strictly forbidden.


¶9.

Using names that break the aforementioned rules by combining name and surname is strictly forbidden.


¶10.

Using names that break the aforementioned rules by abusing spelling/grammar is strictly forbidden.



§5. Avatars and Pictures

¶1.

Using avatars and pictures in contrast with the Code of Conduct is strictly forbidden. That includes pictures expressing hate, racism, defamation, ethnic offence, sex and any other kind of offence.


¶2.

Using pictures that encourage harassment or insults towards other users is strictly forbidden.


¶3.

Using Copyright-protected, Trademark or Registered/Patented pictures is strictly forbidden.


¶4.

Using pictures tied or bound to terrorist organizations is strictly forbidden.



§6. Conclusions

Breaking any of the aforementioned rules may lead to account suspension, account removal or, if criminally punishable, report to the authorities.
